OC Non-Profit Projects Needed Soon
Posted 11/16/2012
Leadership Oneida County is in its fourth year. Candidates need to work in a community project in order to graduate. One of the groups sponsoring the group is the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce. Executive Director Lara Reed says right now they could use more proposals...
"...candidates can get a better look at a non-profit or service organization in the community. They can get their 'hands dirty' and help out with something. I know a lot of non-profits and service organizations are so dependent on volunteers and we're so in need of help. This is a way those organizations can get a little bit of that help..."
Reed says the only restriction is the candidates cannot work in fundraising for the non-profit, but can assist in other projects. The projects need to be done by May, 2013.
Reed gives details about submissions...
"....all you need to do is give us a call at the chamber or you can go onto our website which is explore Rhinelander.com and on our blog area we have posted the application...."
Reed says deadline to register is this Friday, November 23.
