Investigation Into Death In Forest County Jail

Officials with the Oneida County Sheriff’s office confirm they are helping Forest County officials investigate the apparent suicide of a 17 year old jail inmate. Several North Woods media outlets reported last week the teenager was found hanging in her cell last Sunday. Cody Lynn Wolfe of Lac du Flambeau was being held on several charges connected to an October incident. When she failed to appear for a December 5th hearing, she was arrested a week later. Wolfe was being charged as an adult and was housed with adult inmates since Forest County has no juvenile detention facility.
