Campanile Center For The Arts

The Campanile Center for the Arts in Minocqua has received funding to bring a well-known arts group to Northwoods schools next spring. The money comes from Arts Midwest Touring Fund.

The Campanile Center is bringing in the Artrageous presentation.

Campanile Executive Director Sandy Madden says it's a one of a kind art experience...

"....It incorporates a multitude of art forms. They have live art, music, dance, puppetry. They bring all of this together. We're going to be doing a school time show for all the area grade schools, including M-H-LT, AV-W, North Lakeland, Lac du Flambeau. We're bringing all the kids together"

The performance is set for March 20, 2019. Madden says this is the first time the Campanile Center is bringing in a show of this type. It also marks the inaugural Ken's Kids Arts Education Outreach Program...

'....Ken's Kids is going to be this bus show happening annually. Arts Midwest is providing a springboard to do this. There's local funding available through the Ken's Kids program, founded just this year for the Campanile Center to be able to do this kind of programming. In the evening were going to do a public performance. The kids can bring their parents if they want, or grandparents. It's very interactive...."

The program was designed to honor one of Campanile's founding directors, Ken Ozinga..

Madden says the Arts Midwest Touring Fund is a very competitive grant and Campanile was very pleased to get the funding to launch the event next spring. Arts Midwest is based in Minneapolis and is one of six regional arts organizations in the Midwest.
