A snowmobile driver was injured after a collision with a garbage truck Friday morning in St. Germain.
The Vilas County Sheriff's Department reports the collision at about 10:30 at the intersection of Highway 155 and Birchwood Drive in the Town of St. Germain.
Deputies say the garbage truck continued on Highway 155 without stopping after the crash. The truck was discovered a short time later. Deputies say they don't think the driver was aware of the crash and is NOT being investigated as a hit and run.
Deputies say the snowmobile driver is alleged to have not given the right of way to the truck.
The snowmobile driver was taken to Howard Young Medical Center in Woodruff for injuries.
