A long standing and much anticipated arts tradition in the Northwoods is set for this weekend at several stops across the Northwoods.
Many of northern Wisconsin’s finest artists will open theIR doors of their private studios and galleries for the annual Northwoods Art Tour.
One of the artists on the tour, Ann Waisbrot details the unique multi-county event...
"...There are 34 studios in separate locations throughout Vilas, Oneida, Iron, Lincoln and Langlade counties. We're all having open houses at the same time and we put ourselves together and package it as the Northwoods Art tour..."
Waisbrot says anyone interested can go to the Northwoods Art Tour website and create their own tour....
"...We have a great variety of media. We have some new artists this year and of course the returning artists are always creating new work, so it's always a new tour. It's a nice exchange for people. It's a unique opportunity to get into the studio and see how art is made...."

The tour is Friday through Sunday from 10 AM to 5 PM daily. Another tour is set for early October.
