Northwoods United Way Opens Time To Get Funding

United Way

The Northwoods United Way is beginning its review of where to fund agencies for 2017 and would like to hear from agencies in its service area interested in funding criteria.

Executive Director Nancy Sattler says the agencies need to be either a government, tribal, or non-profit agency in Oneida, Vilas and Forest counties...

".....this year, in 2016, we're funding 25 of those great agencies that are based out of Oneida and Vilas counties. Alot of those agencies provide programming within our impact areas, basic needs, health healing and crisis or strengthening children, youth and families...."

Nancy Sattler says it takes awhile for the Northwoods United Way to determine which agencies will get funding...

".....this is my favorite time of the year. We get to talk with agencies seeking funding, we get to learn more about what they do to serve the communities. We talk to agencies already receiving funding and they can affirm to us how the money was spent...."

Sattler says they fund agencies that provide for basic needs and self-sufficiency, promotes health, healing and crisis intervention and strengthening children, youth and families. The agencies need to be either a government, tribal, or non-profit agency.

Deadline registration is April, 15, 2016. Agencies interested in more information should contact Nancy Sattler at Northwoods United Way at 715-369-0440 or Google Northwoods United Way.
