Northwoods United Way Seeking 2018 Agencies To Fund

Northwoods United Way

The Northwoods United Way is asking for proposals for 2018 funding in Oneida, Vilas and Forest counties.

The Northwoods United Way helps fund agencies that provide programming in providing basic needs and self sufficiency, promoting health, healing and crisis intervention and strengthening children, youth and families.

Director Nancy Sattler says currently funded agencies and potential new recipients go through the process the same way...

"....there's a grant application that eligible agencies must complete and have it returned to (Sattler) by April 14. If they are selected to go further in process, they will have a face-to-face meeting with one of our volunteer board members in May...."

Sattler says agencies need to show the impact their services are having on our communities. All agencies applying need to be a government, tribal or non-profit agency...

"....agencies eligible to apply can obtain an application from our website, northwoodsunitedway.org or they can contact(Nancy Sattler) at 715-202-3344. In 2017 we added funding for three new agencies...."

For 2017, Northwoods United Way is providing funding for 28 agencies.
