Veterans will have a chance to talk about their concerns when the Oscar G. Johnson VA Medical Center in Iron Mountain hosts a series of town halls in the region.
Spokesperson Brad Nelson says the town halls are open to veterans to talk about any subject....
"....we really do find these town halls to be beneficial for updating our veterans on what VA is doing regarding access to health care as well as listening to their concerns. Another thing we've been emphasizing at our town halls as we market the town halls is to welcome veterans not enrolled in VA health care is just come and learn what we have to offer....."
They will be hosting a town hall in Boulder Junction at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, March 13 at the Boulder Junction Community Center . The town hall in Rhinelander will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 14, at the Rhinelander Veterans Center on Coon Street. There also will be a town hall in Goodman the same day, March 14 at the American Legion Post at 2:00 p.m.
Tech-savvy veterans can also watch the Rhinelander event, says Nelson....
"...at the Rhinelander town hall at 10:00 a.m. we're going to be streaming that one live on our Facebook page. People can view it later if they want. Or if they can't make it to the town halls they can particpate by going on our Facebook page and watching it...."
