The Ray Rousseau VFW Post 3143 in Rhinelander Tuesday night handed out checks to 25 Rhinelander-area non-profits.
WXPR was one of the non-profits receiving a check.
Post spokesperson Ralph Larson said the proceeds for the checks come from the Post's bingo night. More than $8,000 was distributed Tuesday evening.
