In New Book, Northwoods Author Describes Changes At The Border

An English teacher at Nicolet College has published a book that brings out his experiences as a resident of the border area of the U.S. and Mexico and the violent changes that have occurred.

Ed O'Casey will discuss his poetry and most recent "Proximidad" at the Rhinelander District Library January 29 as part of their "Emerging Authors" series.

The collection is a series of vignettes, which use a memoir, journalism, creative nonfiction, and poetry to describe the results of America's drug wars in El Paso, Texas and Juarez, Mexico.

WXPR's Ken Krall caught up with O'Casey to talk about the work...

Local author Ed O'Casey. He will speak Monday, 1-29-2018,  at 6:00 p.m. at the Rhinelander District Library meeting room. He says he will have copies of the book with him and it is on Amazon.
