A new library director at the Walter E. Olson Memorial Library in Eagle River Sara Klemann, started work this week, taking over from director Nan Andrews who is retiring.
Klemann holds degrees recently graduated from the UW-Madison Library School and was a long time volunteer at the Land O' Lakes library. She comes from a library family and has relatives in the area.
Asked why she applied to run the Olson Memorial library, Klemann said “it is a beautiful new facility and has new challenges,” adding her immediate challenge is “getting to know the communities that support the facility.”
Andrews indicated she will be assisting Klemann for a few weeks to become familiar with the services and programs the Walter E. Olson Memorial Library offers the public.
The library just completed a $2.5 million expansion project just over a year ago.
