The annual Rhinelander Lions Club Community Christmas Dinner is set for Wednesday at Nativity of Our Lord Church on East King Street.

Lions Board member Dick Garrow heads up the event. He says the meal is free and open to the public regardless of your circumstances...

".. The meal is a turkey dinner with all the trimmings. Pie, coffee, milk, juice, dressing and it's all you can eat...."

He says the dinner is for people to share at Christmas....

"It's a social get-together, it's a great time. A lot of people come. We do (about) 300 meals and that includes home deliveries...."

Rapid Cab provides transportation and Trig's cooks the 25 turkeys. Garrow says they also have 50 pies and the trimmings.

Volunteers will deliver meals to your residence within Rhinelander. Garrow says a number of volunteers come forward...

"...We've had quite a few new(volunteers) this year. They say they've been helped by the community so they want to give back to the community..."

Garrow says volunteers are always welcome.

The dinner will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. on Christmas day.

Garrow says you may call him at 715-490-1899 for more information. Below are more contact numbers:
