A man has drowned in Langlade County. The Langlade County Sheriff’s Office dispatch center received a 911 call on Tuesday evening at about 6 pm. Deputies began to search for the victim of a possible drowning on Deep Woods Lake in the town of Upham. The Oneida County Sheriff dive team and the Elcho Rescue Dive Team were also dispatched, and searched until nightfall. The Wisconsin DNR helped resumed the search Wednesday morning, and a body was pulled from Deep Woods Lake at approximately 9 a.m. It was identified as a 24-year-old male from Appleton. An investigation into the circumstances of the drowning continues.
