Snowmobile Fatality ID'd, Fire, Thursday In Oneida Co.

One person died in a snowmobile crash Thursday afternoon in Lake Tomahawk and a fire destroys a house.

The Oneida County Sheriff's Department reports 55 year old Douglas A. Groy of DeForest, Wisconsin died at the scene. The Sheriff's Department was called shortly after 5 p.m. when Groy's snowmobile struck a tree on Birch Road.

Also Thursday, four persons were displaced after a house fire last evening west of Rhinelander. Reports indicate all persons in the home got out safely. The fire was at 6042 Highway "K" in the town of Crescent. The American Red Cross was providing help to the fire victims
