Slow Steady Economic Growth Predicted For Northwoods
One state economist says he sees continued growth in the Northwoods economy and two key indicators are showing growth. Scott Hodek watches northern Wisconsin job and economic trends. He says two indicators are growing...
".....manufacturing was up quite a bit at 500 jobs. Construction was up 300 jobs. That goods producing sector was up quite a bit. Construction is something we're seeing around the state that was up. That's not so much residential as it is business capital investment...."
Hodek says he doesn't seet see anything on the horizon other than moderate growth throughout 2015 and into 2016. He says consumer confidence is good and indicates there should be good shopping season again.
