Update 12/23/2017: According to the Marathon County Sheriff's Department Facebook page, Sierra Thoms was taken into custody by Lac du Flambeau Tribal Police. Thoms was housed in the Oneida County Jail. The department said many tips came into authorities about Thoms location.

A Marathon County inmate with ties to Vilas county is being sought.
From the Sheriff's Department Facebook page, authorities are looking for Sierra Thoms. Thoms was sentenced December 5 and has served 18 days of a one year sentence for Identity Theft. Thoms was on Huber Law release and failed to return to the Marathon County Jail Thursday evening. She is not considered a danger to the public.
Officials report she has contacts in Vilas county and is believed to be headed there. Anyone able to provide information on her location is asked to call the Marathon County Sheriff’s Office at 715-261-1200.
