The name of the person killed Monday in a snowmobile crash near Land O' Lakes has been released.
Vilas County authorities report 57 year old Michael D. Wilson of Layfayette, Indiana died at the scene.
The crash happened on North Helen Creek Rd in the town of Land O Lakes. Wilson's snowmobile struck a tree. Investigators say speed and weather conditions causing poor visibility may have been factors in the crash.
