Boulder Junction Woman Pleads Not Guilty To Trust Fund Theft

A Boulder Junction woman,  AmyWheeler, 46 entered not guilty pleas to in Vilas County court last Thursday to six counts of theft of over half-million dollars from a trust account over a six year period.

According to court documents, Wheeler is alleged to have taken $539,000 from the trust account of her mother, June Paul, between March of 2012 and August 2017, after she was appointed trustee.

Paul was residing at Mt. View Care Center in Wausau and the criminal complaint claims trust bank checks not related to her care had Wheeler's signature.

In court, Wheeler waived her right to a preliminary hearing and entered not guilty pleas. A pre-trial conference was set for July 3. She remains free on a $10,000 signature bond.
