Rhinelander Mayor Chris Frederickson is likely to name a new member of the common council next week after four candidates spoke Monday evening.
One of the four candidates is Scott Counter, the former District 3 alderperson, said he is interested in running again. Counter also ran an unsuccessful write in campaign for mayor.
Other candidates include Carrie Mikalauski, Matthew Will, and Lee Emmer. The person selected will fill the unexpired term of Sherrie Belliveau, who resigned late last year.
