Eagle River Has First Female Chief Of Police

The City of Eagle River has hired its first female Chief of Police.

Chris Dobbs was sworn in Tuesday at the city council meeting.

Dobbs is a 31 year veteran in law enforcment and 26 years with the Eagle River Police Department.

The Eagle River City Council approved Chief Dobbs' contract through December of 2021.

She replaces Mark Vander Bloomen who recently retired.
