A passenger in a car was killed in a two vehicle wreck in Lincoln county that involved a county maintenance vehicle.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reports a highway maintenance truck was working on U.S. 51 near county "J" just before noon. Troopers report the plow was rear-ended by a pickup truck. The pickup driver, a 26 year old man from Tomahawk, was taken to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau with non-life threatening injuries. But a 67 year old man from Tomahawk in the pickup truck was later pronounced dead at a Merrill hospital.

The driver of the maintenance vehicle, a 48 year old man from Gleason, sustained minor injuries. The investigation into the crash is continuing.
