Small Businesses Have Tuesday Deadline To Apply For Grant Dollars

WEDC

Northwoods businesses need to act soon to get some relief from a program called "We're All In".

The  grant initiative by Governor Evers provides $2,500 grants to 30,000 small businesses. Wisconsin Economic Development Corporation Regional Representative Jim Rosenberg details the grant..

"What it's designed to do is get businesses over this hump that's been created by a lot of closures and a lot of people not being able to do business or do business as well. To tide them over, they have rent, utilities and other expenses to pay. This is meant to help them cover some of those other expenses...."

Rosenberg says any for-profit business with 20 or fewer full-time employees and with revenues under $ 1 million is eligible.

"There's some documents people need to have dealing with taxes, and a letter of acknowledgement that is described there as well. There aren't a lot of documents, but there are some and it's good to have them ready to upload before you start the application..."

The We're All In Grant online application to help small business is now open and will extend through 11:59 p.m. Tuesday, June 23.

Rosenberg says all applications will be considered, regardless of application date.
