The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office reports a woman allegedly shot her boyfriend in the shoulder in Town of Lake Tomahawk early Monday morning.
The sheriff’s office got a 911 call at 12:15 a.m. Monday from 6215 Big Doe Road. When deputies arrived, they found 58 year old caller Christine Stammeler had allegedly shot 58 year old Delano Robert Blunt JR in the right shoulder after a prolonged domestic dispute. Blunt was taken to Aspirus Hospital in Wausau. Stammeler was taken to the Oneida County Jail. An investigation into the shooting is still underway.
The Oneida County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Oneida County EMS, the Woodruff Police Department and the Oneida County District Attorney’s Office.
