The YMCA of the Northwoods needed to pull back on what services it could offer due to the arrival of COVID-19. Over time, they’ve been expanding their offerings.
In a video sent to YMCA members, Y Chief Executive Officer Ryan Zietlow announced the latest steps. Youth programs will now be back.
“Archery, gymnastics, flag football, swim lessons, kids Zumba, physical education and preschool programs. Currently these are open only to members, and we look quickly learn our new way to keep you safe as we open them to all,” said Zietlow.
Flag football will be offered free to all youth in the community, thanks to a partnership with the Hodag Gridiron Club and the Rhinelander Lions.
Zietlow also says there will be more options for group exercise classes.
“Group exercise classes have expanded with additional time slots and classes. Reservations will still be required to assist with social distancing and keep our facility safe.”
Adventure Alley will now be open as well. It will be by registration only for up to three families at a time, and there will be a small fee. Towel service and personal training will also be available again.
