The sound of throaty motorcycles will be in the Northwoods this weekend for the 38th annual Tomahawk Fall Ride headquartered at SARA Park in Tomahawk.
The ride benefits the Muscular Dystrophy Association and is hosted by Harley-Davidson Operations in Tomahawk. Thousands of riders and spectators are expected.
MDA spokesperson Abby Forcey says they've partnered with Harley-Davidson for more than 60 years. People of all ages are invited to the festivities. About $117,000 each of the last two years.
"Harley-(Davidson) and MDA helped have 8 medicines approved last year to help our families live longer and grow stronger. So the money from this event will go towards research. It will help us fund our local care centers so we can provide care to our local families in Wisconsin..."
The organized ride, auction and raffle drawing will be on Saturday at 5:00 p.m. The weekend features live music on Friday and Saturday from 10:00 am until 5:00 p.m. All three days will include vendors, food, refreshments, raffles, and activities at SARA Park. In addition, they also will be raffling off a 2019 Harley-Davidson motorcycle.
