Best practices for businesses to recruit and retain military veterans will be the focus of a free Hire Up event at Nicolet College.

Presentations by three experts highlight the half-day event.
"....this is a fabulous opportunity to hear from some of the experts from the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce, other veterans organizations who provide support and education and also from our local Workforce Development Board who will be talking to employers how they can help the businesses find employees...."
The speakers include Saul Newton of the Wisconsin Veterans Chamber of Commerce, Mark Martello from the Veterans Health Administration and Derek Hiekkinen from the North Central Wisconsin Workforce Development Board. Bishop says this is a good chance for any employer and veterans to network and connect.
The session is set for 8:00 a.m. to 12 noon on Friday, September 22 at the Lakeside Center at Nicolet College. The college received a grant to cover the cost of the program
