County sets deadline on water bottling permit application

The clock is winding down for a Minocqua developer to formally withdraw his petition for a conditional use permit needed to build a water bottling plant in Minocqua. Otherwise, Oneida County will deny it and lock him out for a full year from reapplying for the same project.

Robert Rynders has verbally told county zoning staff he intends to withdraw the petition. But the Planning and Development Committee on Wednesday said they want it in writing by Jan. 18th.

The proposed site for the water bottling operation has shifted to Presque Isle where businessman Trygve Solberg presented similar plans last November to a packed town hall meeting. Solberg had also been involved in the Minocqua proposal.

Presque Isle Zoning Administrator Forrest Jukich said Wednesday that no rezoning application has been made for a site near Hwy. "W" and Carlin Club Road where Solberg wants to build the plant.
