High school seniors who live in the WPS service area who are planning to attend area technical colleges are reminded a deadline to apply for a chance at a scholarship is nearing.
The Wisconsin Public Service Foundation has awarded scholarships for 55 years. WPS spokesperson Matt Cullen says students and parents need to get going..
"..The Wisconsin Public Service Foundation is offering scholarships for graduating seniors in our service area that are planning on getting technical diplomas for Associate's degrees. The deadline for those scholarships is approaching. Applications must be submitted through April 30 in order for students to be eligible for one of those scholarships..."
Scholarships of $750 are available for students who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement, a financial need, and leadership in school and community activities. An online application, as well as more details about the WPS Foundation technical college scholarships, can be found on the scholarship website.
High school seniors also can receive information about the scholarships from their school guidance counselors. Among the technical colleges eligible are Nicolet Area Technical College and Northcentral Technical College.
