One of two Democrats vying for the nomination to run against incumbent Republican Sean Duffy for Congress says she would work for a federal health insurance program for everyone.

After her military career, Engebretson worked as a union locomotive electrician and train dispatcher beforegraduating from the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She worked as a Deputy Sheriff of Corrections at the St. Louis County Jail in Duluth for two and a half years and applied to University of Wisconsin Law School.
