A 30-year-old Eagle River area woman is the latest snowmobile fatality in Wisconsin.
The Vilas County Sheriff's Department reports Amanda Marie Thacker died March 19.
The crash was reported March 18 in the early afteroon in woods just off Korth Lake in the town of Lincoln.
Emergency crews helped Thacker, who eventually was airlifted to Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
Investigators report she was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.
Thacker is the 19th snowmobile fatality in Wisconsin since January 1st,2020 according to DNR records.
