A residence in Boulder Junction sustained considerable damage from a fire Thursday afternoon.
The Vilas County Sheriff's Department reports a 9-1-1 call came in at 1:40 p.m. saying there was a house fire on the south side of Island Lake. The fire was at 12578 LaFave Road.
When emergency units arrived they found the home to be fully engulfed in flames.
The homeowners were not at home at the time of the blaze.
The residence sustained major damage but was still standing. The fire remains under investigation. No injuries were reported.
