Fire Destroys Rhinelander West Side Dwelling

No serious injuries early Friday but a four-unit dwelling is a total loss after a fire at the 200 block of West Hill drive on Rhinelander's west side.

Fire Chief Terry Williams said they got called out about 2 a.m....

"....once we got on the scene, the structure was fully involved. There were five occupants in the structure at the time. All the occupants got out prior to our arrival. Three had to jump from second story windows. There are some minor injuries, some people were transported to the hospital..."

The nearby towns of Newbold and Crescent fire departments assisted Rhinelander Fire. Firefighters were on the scene until just after 5:30 Friday morning.

Williams says the structure is still standing but all the contents inside are a total loss.

The American Red Cross sent a team to assist the persons at the site.
