A key fundraiser for the Rhinelander Area Food Pantry is Saturday at Holiday Acres Resort near Rhinelander.
The third annual Garden Fresh Salad Bowl serves food from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Food Pantry Executive Director Guy Hansen explains....
"....there are 13 different restaurants around town that donate their signature salad which we serve out there along with rolls from the Nicolet College Culinary Arts, along with Golden Harvest(store) and desserts and beverage...."
There will be plants for sale, including herbs and perennials. There will be a variety of door prices along with prized of wood-turned items.
Hansen says the goal is to help others...
"....The benefit is to raise money for the Food Pantry to we can distribute food to the folks in the area that are worse off than we are...."
