The name of the St. Germain man who died in a snowmobile crash last week has been released.
The Vilas Co. Sheriff's Department reports the victim as 62 year old Douglas Weyers.
An emergency call came in shortly before 7 p.m. from the Found Lake Road area near St. Germain. Law enforcement reports the driver of the sled was operating in the east bound lane while heading west and struck another vehicle. Weyers was pronounced dead at the scene.
Investigators report speed appears to have been a factor in the crash and the investigation is continuing.
