One of the departments closing as Drs. Foster and Smith closes in Rhinelander in February is the call center.
Customers service representatives helped pet customers with their supply questions over the phone. Another call center in the region is in need of workers and could help out laid off workers.
Juanita Huguley is Director of Operations at Lac du Flambeau Holdings which is part of the Lac du Flambeau Business Development Corporation based in Lac du Flambeau. She says they are always looking for people to work in their call center and folks with call center experience is a plus.
She says within the next 45 days there will be openings for nine people...
"We're an online support center for our online lending industries. Computer based, inbound-outbound calls type of environment. We have a lot of learning opportunities and growth. We have a very flexible schedule. We are open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. If someone is going to school or has children we're very flexible with family activities, things of that nature. We have a very generous 401(k) and health benefit. Overall we have a very relaxing but productive environment..."
Huguley says they're an on-line support center for their on-line lending industries. She says the call center workers will work with computers and have in-bound and out-bound calls.
She says prospective workers should go to the appropriate website...
"They can go to LDFBC.com and click under employment. They can see all the other openings for all our other entities as well. The smokeshop, the market and the call center here. They can access the application online as well...."
