LWV Of The Northwoods Has Voter Guides Available

League of Women Voters

The League of Women Voters of the Northwoods is out with an online guide to help voters make decisions. The Fall Primary Voter Guide is on the website vote 411.org. There's not many primary races.

The August 11th Primary will narrow the field of candidates running for Florence County District Attorney and Vilas County Register of Deeds.

League spokesperson Yolan Mistele says a much more extensive guide will be published before the extensive November election...

"The guide will give some basic information about the candidates, what their background is, that kind of thing. We ask several questions about why are you running for this office, what do hope to accomplish, what are your qualifications, that kind of thing...."

State races for the U.S. House, State Senate, and State Assembly have already been published by the League of Women Voters of Wisconsin. The Presidential voter guide will be published by the League of Women Voters of the U.S.

Mistele says VOTE411.org is a “one-stop-shop” for election information providing tools to help Wisconsin voters navigate the voting process.

The League's Fall Election Voter Guide will be available September 11. It will cover the candidates running for County Clerk, District Attorney, Register of Deeds, and Treasurer in Florence, Forest, Langlade, Lincoln, Oneida, and Vilas counties, as well as the Vilas County Surveyor.
