Marathon County Sees Challenge Keeping Up With COVID Contacts

Marathon County Health Department Facebook

The Marathon County Health Department says it is seeing COVID-19 cases come in faster than they can reach out to potential contacts.

In a Facebook Post, the department said there has been a substantial increase in the number of COVID cases in the last week, both around the state and in Marathon County.  The health department says it has exceeded its capacity to contact people in a timely manner.

Marathon County Health Department Public Information Officer Judy Burrows says they’re doing their best to keep up, but cases are coming in faster than they can respond.  She asked people to stay home if they are sick or have been exposed to someone with COVID.
