Martinson Faces Charges of Homicide, False Imprisonment

Oneida County Sheriff's Department

The town of Piehl teen charged with allegedly killing her parents last month and also putting children in a locked room made an initital appearance Friday(4/24) in Oneida County Circuit Court.

17 year old Ashlee Martinson was detained in Boone County, Indiana since the day after the deaths of her parents, 37 year old Thomas Ayers and 40 year old Jennifer Ayers. Their bodies were found March 7 at their home east of Rhinelander after a 9-1-1 call was received. Three children in the home had been detained in a room. It was determined at autopsy that Thomas Ayers had been shot and Jennifer Ayers was stabbed. Martinson was nowhere to be found, but was later found in Indiana with a boyfriend, Ryan Sisco, who was detained on a warrant but authorities later said was not a suspect in the deaths.

Judge Michael Bloom set cash bond at $750,000, which was recommended by District Attorney Michael Schiek.
Martinson faces two counts of 1st degree homicide and three counts of false imprisonment.

"....obviously we did obtain additional information after we filed the original criminal complaint which does contain most of the interviews and additional interviews through the investigation...."
