Nicolet College in Rhinelander is offering a type of 'one-stop shop' this week for anyone looking to enroll.
The college is hosting a Quick Start event Wednesday, as explained by career coach Angeline von Neupert..
"We'll help you with your application. If you're not sure what kind of courses you're interested in taking, you'll meet with a career coach and we'll walk you through the steps . If you've already applied but you need help finishing that application process we help getting your assessments complete, meet with your financial aid advisors, the business office. We have our IT team here helping students with credentials and their Nicolet log in for the portal. Also the academic advisors are available. It's an awesome event...."
Academic programs offered in the flexible Nicolet My Way format include welding, information technology, accounting and business management. Other programs are expected to adopt the program this coming school year. Individuals looking to enroll will need their high school or college transcripts and an RSVP to attend Quick Start is suggested.
Angeline von Neupert says there's still time to enroll...
"...Some students are worried..there's plenty of time to get enrolled in classes. Our next semester starts on January 16. It gives us almost two months to help us get through that process...that's what we're here to do. We'll make it as smooth and easy for each individual as we possibly can...."
Nicolet currently offers more than 60 associate degrees, diplomas, certificates and apprenticeships. More information is available at the Welcome Center or at their website nicolet college. edu
