Going back to school as an adult can be daunting.
Nicolet College in Rhinelander is hosting an event Thursday designed to help people return to education. To help adults upgrade skills or train for an entirely new career, Nicolet is holding a Returning to Learning event from 5 to 7 p.m., Thursday in the University Transfer Center on the Nicolet College Campus.
Career Coach at Nicolet, Teri Phalin says adult students will find many people to help them...
"....learn how to enroll, pay for college, some of the study tactics they might be using, if they're interested in a Bachelor's Degree, They can meet with academic advisors and career coaches and get the whole gamut of what returning to college is going to be like..."
Phalin says the marketplace changing and adults need more education...
"....they're really interested in looking at that post-secondary option of becoming a college student. Some it might be the first time. Some it might be again, for some, many years later. The whole event is geared toward making that a very comfortable transition..."
