The Northwoods Community Garden is preparing for its inaugural spring.

With 48 garden plots, the garden will be a place for local residents to grow their own food and flowers and to learn about environmental stewardship and nutrition.

Listen to the full interview with board members Pete Zambon and Tabatha Bennish to learn what plans the garden has in store for the growing season.

The Northwoods Community Garden is competing with gardens from around the country for a grant from Nature’s Path. You can support the Northwoods Community Garden by voting for it at https://www.naturespath.com/en-us/gardens-for-good/#the-northwoods-community-garden-inc

WXPR’s Nonprofits of the Northwoods spotlights organizations in our area that are working to strengthen the community – whether that’s by lending a hand to someone in need, educating about the arts, or caring for the environment.
