Iron county has the state's highest rate at 7.9 percent, Price county is at 3.9 percent.
Forest county's rate is the fourth-highest in the state, and Vilas county has the sixth-highest rate. The rates are comparable to numbers from one year ago in the region.
Not far away, Marathon county's rate is 2.5 percent, and in Dane county near Madison, the rate is 1.8 percent.
Nineteen of the state's 32 largest cities had their lowest April unemployment rate on record in 2018. Forty-five of the state's 72 counties had or tied their lowest April unemployment rate on record.
