Economists often say when unemployment hits 4.0, the nation is at statistical full employment. After the release of the September jobless numbers, only 7 of Wisconsin's 72 counties are below the statistical  full employment level.

State Labor Economist Mitchell Rupp in Wausau looks at the Northwoods numbers...

"....Forest (county)is at 4.5..., Langlade is at 3.6...,Lincoln is at 3.1, Oneida is at 3.0, Vilas is at 3.4,...."

Price county is at 3.4 percent and Iron has the state's second-highest rate at 5.1.

All the Northwoods counties found this September's rates about a half to one full percentage point lower than last year.

Rupp also says the state has debuted a new website called Wisconomy which shows economic and labor market information....

"...a place where you can get all sorts of economic data for the state of Wisconsin. You can view the site on your mobile phone, you can download and share data in multiple types of formats. They also have data visualization You can make graphs and charts right there on the fly...."

If you Google WisConomythe site pops up. It is through the Job Center of Wisconsin site.

The state's overall unemployment level is 3 percent, with four southern Wisconsin counties at a low of 2.3 percent.
