One Dead, Six Injured In Two-Vehicle Crash South of Antigo

One person has died, and six persons were injured, two  critically, in a Saturday morning traffic crash south of Antigo.

The Wisconsin State Patrol reports a vehicle went out of control on snow covered U.S. 45 near Kautza Road about 11:15 a.m. The car hit a northbound Jeep.

The 30-year-old woman driving the Plymouth Voyager and four other passengers were transported from the scene by ambulance. A four-year-old passenger in the Plymouth died as a result of his injuries. Others in the Plymouth sustained life-threatening injuries.

The 24-year old woman driving the Jeep was transported by ambulance with non-life threatening injuries.

All of the people involved are from Antigo. Names are being withheld pending notification of relatives.
