The chemical contaminants known commonly as PFAS have been in the news after the discovery of the chemical in Rhinelander's water and several other communities in Wisconsin.

As part of WXPR's commitment to water-related stories, Special Correspondent Ben Meyer and News Director Ken Krall gathered four experts in the White Pine Room at WXPR to give more information on the chemicals and what it means to residents.

A local water tester,a soil scientist, a DNR water specialist and an Oneida County health professional also were on the panel. We will bring you the hour-long forum Friday at 4 p.m. and again Saturday afternoon at 4 p.m. This is part of the Curious North and The Stream series on WXPR.
