Positive COVID-19 Case at Pelican Elementary School According to School District of Rhinelander

The School District of Rhinelander is reporting a positive case of COVID-19 at Pelican Elementary School.

We don’t know if the person is a student or staff member.

In a Facebook post, the district said the person has been excluded from school until the Oneida County Health Department determines they are no longer infectious.

Students and staff who have been identified as close contacts with the person who tested positive have been contacted by the Oneida County Health Department. Close contacts will be excluded from school for 14 days. The district said their symptoms will be monitored by the county health department.
