Referendum Meetings Set For Rhinelander School Dist.

The Rhinelander School District will be hosting a series of community presentations about the upcoming funding referendum. The first one will be held beginning next week.

Superintendent Kelli Jacobi says they will hold nine presentation through the months of December, January and February...

"......we are trying to do many presentations, trying to do a lot of them at varied locations and different times, so everybody can find one close to them and at a convenient time. We want people to make sure they are getting all the information they need...."

The first one will be Monday, December 7 at 6:30 p.m.at the James Williams Middle School Library.

The referendum will ask for $5 milliion a year for three years. The district is projecting a shortfall at least that mucheach year, with the shortfall in the $6 million dollar range for 2018-19. Jacobi says the information is available on the School District of Rhinelander website, along with other meeting times and places. The referendum date is February 16.
