An undisclosed incident Thursday at James Williams Middle School in Rhinelander has resulted in one student being sent home until an investigation is completed.

A report from the school office said one of the students made a threat while angry.

The School Resource Officer assigned to the school responded to the situation immediately and detained the student. They report the threat was addressed and the student was sent home.

Police investigators are working with the school district to resolve the situation.

They report they don't believe students or staff were ever in danger.
