An Illinois man has been identified as the person killed in a snowmobile crash Tuesday afternoon in Vilas county.
The Sheriff's Department reports the victim as 61-year-old Kevin A. Keenan of Lake Zurich, Illinois.
The Sheriff's Department reports they were called at 1:49 p.m. after a snowmobile hit a tree on Trail 10 near marker 103 in the Town of Conover.
When the call came in the driver was unresponsive and CPR had been started. When responders arrived Keenan was deceased.
Several agencies responded to the scene and the investigation into the crash continues.
According to the DNR, this is the 9th fatality this winter season in Wisconsin.
