Update: Names Released In Fatal Crash Near Antigo

(WAOW) — One child is dead and six people are injured following a crash on U.S. 45 at Kautza Drive, according to Wisconsin State Patrol.

On Saturday at 11:45 a.m., a minivan was traveling south on U.S. 45 when the driver lost control on the snow-covered road, according to a release.

A northbound SUV then struck this vehicle on its passenger side. 30-year-old Alysha Davis of Antigo was driving the minivan. 29-year-old Dallas Davis was also in the car, joined by a 1-year-old, 4-year-old, 5-year-old, and 10-year-old.

The 4-year-old boy died as a result of the crash. the 5-and-10-year-old boys suffered life-threatening injuries.

24-year-old Courtney Arndt was driving the SUV. Her injuries were non-life-threatening.

Everyone involved was wearing a seatbelt and alcohol was not a factor.

Assisting agencies included Langlade County Sheriff’s Office, Antigo Police Department, Antigo Fire Department, Rural Fire Control, Birnamwood Fire Department, and Langlade County Highway Department.

The Wisconsin State Patrol is conducting the crash investigation and crash reconstruction. Law enforcement action is pending investigation.
